One Piece is Coming to an End Soon with its Final Arc Approaching

The long running hit shonen series is nearing its end, Weekly Shonen Jump warns.

In the Anime fandom, saying "when One Piece ends" is the equivalent to saying "when pigs fly." Well, I guess those pigs will be taking flight fairly soon.

Shueisha teased in an advertisement for the upcoming 35th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump of this year that mangaka Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga is "headed toward the upcoming final arc."

The ad also hinted that the 10th volume of One Piece Magazine will focus on encouraging fans to reread the series (yikes) to get ready for the series' climax.

Oda has been known to state how close One Piece is coming to it's completion time and time again, with his last goal set for "within 5 years" back in September 2019. He's even stated that he already has the final panel of One Piece planned out.

However, this time around we are getting practically official confirmation from Shonen Jump themselves, so perhaps the time is nearing for the beloved pirate crew to set sail off into the sunset.

The next issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump is expected to drop this September. The One Piece manga is available to read through Viz Media through Shonen Jump Digital Vault and similar services.
